Turned up all ready to tear into the trike and my dad sits me down..

“Son i think superchargers are for pussys, why not shove in an engine with four times the power?”

So we did. all thoughs of complete and utter uncontrolabilty were through out the window so fast you’d think i was a war scientest.

chain run looks good, and its compact and narrow.

Whipped out the cd70 engine, note how many layers of metal are in that hole, six! goddamnit

This is with the lower engine mount in the same place as the cd70 lower engine mount. chain run ain’t to bad. but the gearbox looks like it will run dry and the carb will leak too.

This is better, chain tensioner will be putting the tension on the inside of the chain now, and with the engine so far forward, there will be a big space for a oil bottle, maybe even a battery!.

This arm was welded on. then some ejit put the tension bolt back in. wtf? why?

Spare metal, as you can see it’s a bit bent.

After cleaning up the rust the inner skin had some supports welded in, and the outer skins were welded together.

And thats the outer skins added in, big hole still in the middle, but it will have to wait until next week when i shall be tryin to figure out where to put the supercharger. Or devolping superhuman reflex’s and mad rideing skill.

maybe i should remove the starlets suspension just to see what it feels like..

Monday

Only managed this, and i cut a hole out of a diet book and hid chocolate in it as a anniversary present for my girlfriend. Will do more next time.

And in nabs favor, it’s looks like i have no choice but to move to the wilton shop, in 4 weeks time. when the brother of the area manger wants you to work in his shop you dont get no other viable options. Pah at least i’l make more money for a change.

Claire got fired tonight, that makes 6 managers in 4 years now. can’t count how many assistant mangers and staff iv’e worn out. New manger will be an ass, sodding tired of these jokers fucking up my job, shops too quite for me anyway going go to another shop and flex my pizza delivery power (yeah i just said that). wilton has lots of roundabouts and curves for the laying of rubber and i can throw free pizza at nab.

Monday

Went on a bike run sunday at least 480 bikers were there, damn rolling road block runined the experience, not doing it again. fuck the little dying kiddies.

Color blind bike, who forgot to do up his helmet one day had a little crash, afterwards he decided to paint build this.

Monday was a long day, got a my rod ends in the post, they look great but wont fit, coarse thread. my fault for not asking about it from the ebay seller. but then again it should have been specified. no matter there were cheap and next time i’ll get the right thread.

Slapped in the washers on my rear dampers, which helps to keep em in one piece, used a thiner washer rather than the std very thick washer cum bump stop thing.

Did a little work on the atc, my shoulder and broken thumb stopped me from doing alot.

It looks bent, but i will have to measure it.

going for yellow and black, completely didn’t think that out really. yellow hammerite is about 3 time more expensive then black, if im not careful i will end up with one of those horrible flip paint jobs.

After dinner went out to mallow to fix up the guy who fixed my laptops bike, just a bit of welding and lots oh wd40.

didn’t go with Gentoo in the end, trying ubuntu with a faster desktop.

Tuesday went to dublin zoo, quite nice up there now, not as many animals walking about the place as fota, but it did have a citifarm, which brought back memories. i want straw as a floor!

Tear ass down to the scrap yard on a spare honda 50(dressed in WWII gear) nearly fall off in front of the place while trying to indicate and brake. sarge laughed so hard he nearly fell off two. Relieved of 60 euro i bring back two complete ep80 rear shocks which are about 2cm shorter and have harder springs. Bonus!

looks like 2cm to me but was in too much of a rush to bother checking.

Back together again and i have some spare time to put the atc110 wheels on, 8inchs? the future man.

Enjoyed driveing it all of about 40miles, very taunt, car is a joy to drive again and i begin thinking of finallly getting the nct sorted and slaping in the bigger engine.

Mind you maybe i should have not have rushed the job so much….. on the plus side it did give me a really good idea on how to shorten the stroke lots, just need to find a set of sperhical bearing that should be lying around the place somewhere. Massive things but there probably well lost by now

A Trike!

Bought this yesterday, e100! everthing is bent cut busted and rusted except the tires and probably the brake (singular, rear) i say probably beacuse i haven’t actually looked at it and it might be busted anyway. had loads of plans to bigger better engines but now i think i’ll just fix/fit the engine in it weld up the HUGE cut/hole in the frame and sort out that rear wheel, the axle teeth are stripped so i’ll have to either pay for a new one (yaright) or weld the hub to the axle (gotta get it straight) maybe way in the future i’ll get a bigger chinese copy engine, but as soon as it’s fixed i want to see what driving with no suspension on the road feels like 🙂 did i mention it has a frame number and a few other legal nicecitys?.

Pity i didn’t take any pics of the crap 14 alloys that were on it, embarrassing they were, just put the 13’s on here so needs to be driven for the suspension to settle.

Now all i need is some one who is very very good at soldering. did i just put my credit card details in a pic?

Scotland: 1590miles

Well, got back from Scotland, enjoyed the driving, didn’t like the drinking. Don’t really know what else to say i mean like i really really liked the driving, I got from sterling to ballymun(Dublin) to limerick (got lost) and finally to cork in one day and enjoyed it! it was something like 450miles. Didn’t think I would with all the driveing I do during the week. When I got home and could stand again I looked up nick sanders, 19 days to circumnavigate the world? hot shit I could do that! okay maybe not but then I’d be doing it on a 80,000mile old cbr. Sarge didn’t have any nick sanders dvd’s but I got long way around and long way down. Those ejits should have spent there own money and got the KTM’s, personally I’d like a Russian 6×6 or a the tiny two-stroke the camera man was using :D.

Speaking of serious off road machine, looks like the recession is make 4×4’s cheap now, seen a nice nissan pickup for 1700 and a 3ltr daihatsu for 1000. The economy will have picked up again by the time I have my starlet re-engined and NCT’d leaving me with nothing again.

Other news:

Project hardpoints will be moving along soon ,watch this space as they say.

Got a laptop! will be taking the dremel to it 2morrow.

New wheels again for the starlet, nice set of 13″, cars look much lower now and will be cooler then a very cool thing when I finish the suspension.

That rads been dead and holed 4 time’s, last time the neck got a little outta shape so it wasn’t really sealing properly, this mod allowed me to see what the water was doing and fill up sooner.

Bashed on that f3 rad i got from JT, fan didn’t fit, bottom pipe needed extending and upper slip on joint was miles out. f3 fan might fit i’ll never know.

Little bracket i made up. Also squeezed in a temp gauge from an nsr80, it lights up red and the speedo light up green. Mismatched monster eyes lookin at ya!

More work!

It has been decided, we are going to scotland. gotta clean and sort out the cbr.

First up, a pic of the old cracked air filter.

Temporarily fixed. new filter allready in as we type.

All back together, along with the other cb650 (nighthawk) throttle cable. removed the old return cable while i was in there too. seems to have really improved the mpg, can get 155miles out of tank now, where it used to be 140(130 when i first got it)

Shiny new stainless steel pipes! cost me e320, so now i have to keep the cbr for the pizza job, gotta get me a spare engine.

The old ones weren’t too bad….

Need a bit of a fairing to blow the wind off me, i like suzuki katanas, i have this spare dr750 nose lying around the place, need to cut off the elephant ears and find the cbr’s old headlight bracket to weld it up it’s just hanging here in this pic, probably will move it back and up a bit, then i’l paint it general lee orange! might skip the confederate flag tho.

big gap sucks, we shall see if it closes up when i get near to the finally position.

Looks just like the katana, got some smaller clocks to go in there too, 180kmh one instead of 85mph.

Practice packing for the trip, got a massive water proof bag to hold the sleeping bag and mat, both ex army worn and used but really comfortable and warm (bullets holes have been patched too!). Have the tassles cut off now i just need to get rid of the ‘timeless cruisers’ crap on the side.

Monday

Got runner going, just needed battery, starter motor wireing up,petrol and the alternator nut tightened.
Sounds lovely, would be straight out on it but insurance hassles with the guard right now are killing my
enthusiasm. Why the hell does she want my policy number so bad? did the guards in any of my other
accidents want to see my policy? can’t remember.

Anyway, it was all easy except the wire for the starter motor, odd spot and why the hell did i take it off in
the first place?


a very bad quick chop,extend the motor back till the rear mud guard, take out the boot box thing and
lower the seat onto the frame rails, lower everything else too.
A decent engine mount that didn’t twist and some frame slimming (it’s very wide not fat) could make this
bike very nice… or maybe i should just ride it.


Stripped the cbr right down. why? to change the throttle cable…..

the length is not a problem, how ever the cable slack is (cb650 cable) old cable is way fucked not a
chance in hell of me putting it back on. will search about the house for one soon, but i may just get
a new one. also the air filter is cracked!! don’t know weather it was because i was hit so hard or because
it is a cheap copy.
