future rat busa?

Finally got a spin, lovely weather, busa not as scary as i had hoped, incredibly smooth and well suspended with a great seat and it’s got a trip computer thingie telling me that i’m getting 7l/1ookm at the mo but i was pissing around zipping to the chinese and following sarge on a rebel 125, will get better at steady speeds. Sarge is on his gf’s 125 because his vn1500 is blown up, so i did the decent thing and turned up on my new fully functioning busa and rubbed it in ๐Ÿ™‚

Gpz 500, sv650 shock

It went right in there no problems, both ends drilled out to 12mm (not by me) and the bottom end widened by 2mil. So half a litre of fuel in and off down the hill we went (niki on the 500, me on ma ‘busa), got to petrol station filled it right up and i took it out gave it full throttle in the hope that that would clear out the carb/engine. Nope and it was raining by now too so i got a bit wet waiting for sean in the van to pick me up, Weirdly i enjoyed getting wet, it’s great once your not having to work in it.’Busa is fantastic very smooth and a really comfy seat, got 160 out of it after about 5mins and in the rain ๐Ÿ˜€ i’m normally very reserved on a new bike….

Think i’ll find a spare dented busa tank and paint all the busted spare fairings in a tokyo police spec scheme, the bike equivalent of a certain Max’s ford falcon xb coupe…..

vn1500 trike

Sarges has all ways wanted one, and here it is!

It uses a ford english axle, i like how it’s mounted and it turns out that i know the guy who owns it, might just get him to make up the bits for sarge.

nikis ex/gpz 500 is comeing together, found tanks rubbers off the other kawasaki’s at sarges. The rear number plate light is off of something else so no number plate light. Just needs a rear shock and the side panels fixed and maybe bleed the front brakes.

Nobodys around today to help move the welder and the needed sheet steel to sort the bajaj, tomorrow hopefully

Bajaj tuk tuk, the build

but first up is, fixed my cbr6 chain lash by slotting in 5 bits of chopped up number plate around the cush drive, on the non driven side of the rubber. I have the sweetest gearchange now and a clean rear wheel!

and then we got sarahs car fixed at kenny bros crash repair, excellent work (hint hint!)

Damit just realised i forgot to take a pic of the underneath where i spent the day working

Leftovers, this just from the bit i was working on, sarge had some more left over from the body.

you can see it’s a bit bent, didn’t take much force to straighten it up

Paint’s drying, body on plastic bin’s, very handy having a light body.

Front paint dry, windscreen just balancing in place, roof chop would be cool, but there is not enough space inside to make it comfortable.

Who’s that awesome man?

Can’t believe i didn’t take a pic of the underside, it’s gonna need a sheet of meat 50x90cm

Roof temporarily thrown on, look at the floor!

Lots of things to do, but just to go for a test ride it only needs the hole welded up, the front drum is enough for a short while, the rears need a complete overhaul.tails light need a bit ofร‚ย  hot wireing, roof and loads of small stuff. right had stuff to say but im tired and i’ve forgotten it all ๐Ÿ™‚

you need oil!

Running with out oil is bad!

The forlorn cbr6

Donno what to do right now, most things are done for the time being until some money/parts show up, should i start on the xtdr350? or dig out the front suspension of the jago and get that started?

stupid place to put the starter solenoid.

ran it with out oil, silly buggers, it blew it’s plug thankfully before it seized, more work ๐Ÿ™‚

Cork Bike Show

i could have brought my cbr6

quite a few extremely old examples

Best chopper, you can’t tell in the photo because the light was shit, but it has some very nice brass touches, like the speedo which you can just make out. the fake cam covers are nicely done.

turbo quad. me like.

found this pic of when it first snowed after christmas ๐Ÿ™‚

cbr6 rebuild: done

Ready for a test drive

test drive done and i’m a happy bunny

tucking the Wiring loom away was the last real hurdle, after the test ride i fixed up the gear change for a better spare and topped up the oil. next small thing that needs finishing is to re set the exhaust headers a bit to stop a blow and thats it for a while. paint job rear hugger and katana nose cone are for after that.

Niki’s ex500 looking mean, new parts soon

iec watergrasshill trackday

Went and had fun, took picture of everything that wasn’tร‚ย  very shiny.

modern car retro wheels

only escort i actually took a pic of, this just needs some nice deep dish 13″ jap wheels

very clean

Gertrac rwd mk3 escort, very sweet

Started the cbr, ran crap, had spark, tore into carbs, sorted the air screws, back together, still crap, put plug leads on right, sweet as a nut. I’m some idiot.
