no zoom today anyway, their all broke.
So, with all the top end on and offing, it look like some thing ended up in the case of the ypvs racer. barrel and crank survived, new piston on the way.
Jolly Moto pipe for runner 180 turned up, it’s pretty. Might get some time next week to dimension the pipe.
Attempting to goto watergrasshill go-kart track today weather permitting. race bikes are ready, I’ll have to buy new head bearings for the 90, completely shot.
Mondello, trackday 24th june 2015
Didn’t die! despite the brakes boiling over twice and being lumped in with the advanced class, totally unfazed. i only did 13 miles/10 laps but the cbr didn’t embarrass it’s self (brakes on fire don’t count) as i did in fact pass a gsxr750. ( yes it was driven by a ejit, but a win is a win) after that, the cousin’s share his GSXR1000 with me for the rest of that day had three 20minute sessions, got better each time, but the wheelie’s were too much, it was a fine line between getting the power down or smacking your face with the clocks.
going again next week to watergrasshill, but first we needed to fix teds ypvs/banshee, the athena/banshee barrels have massive water jacket ports just under the exhaust, the ypvs case doesn’t cover ’em.
No Pics of me on track yet, didn’t think i’d have time for photos so only phone camera shots.
Didn’t manage to blow them cobwebs off anyway. some slicks, calliper seals and fresh brake fluid for next day 🙂
3ma with 3xv forks, makes a beautiful sound.
new pipe for the Runner 180
Runner 180, snarkie email from PM tuning saying they couldn’t sell me an expansion pipe with out the silencer as that’s where the profits are, prompted me to buy a Jolly Moto instead, ha! no profits for you!

yes my wallet is very sore now but it was worth it. Decent reviews of it too.
Got some ants in my pants last week and instead of throwing out all the cardboard from the new house, i built an arcade machine out if it!

cad to cam, it’s all about the cardboard.
Also couldn’t find my measuring tape at the time, so i came up with a new standard of one jvc remote width, which roughly equates to 1.5 hogs feet.
Trackday tomorrow, will the cbr survive? will they let me on the track? will i be a funny crash picture in next months work letter?
bikes in ditchs
Most of my bikes are safety stored in the ditch, no idea how they’ll survive once i have my own shed. buggers will probably never start.
take my runner 180
fork chrome shot, rubber on the filter of the kart airbox cracked, seats a bit buggered, front wheel (not the tyre) won’t keep the air in.
kick it over a few time to fill the carb with three year old petrol, clean the rust off the plug, started third kick. no sweat.
This? not really a problem, pm55 on the way! moar power!
pm55 won’t come with a silencer, but i got loads, dug this short one first, its a chamber type.
The carbon one is from a aprilla rs125, straight tru. worst looking too, so it’ll look just right.
Found the tzr250 anti-rocking bar, gotta repair the engine cases where this bolts to first before i mount the rear part.
XTDR250 – an update? impossibru!
So the other day the quad was welded up badly.
Currently we struggling to get the shagged tyres off it.
An update on the XTDR250? i was gonna weld something today and this didn’t need a flat surface.
this plate was there just to hold the sub frame in roughly the right place
hope it was all straight coz’ it’s going fecking nowhere now.
of course all the nice welds are where you won’t see em, and i blew a hole right in your eyeline.
all the usual small stuff todo now, carbs, spark, silencers, brakes. do wheelies.
only been 5 and half years to get to this point.
YZF fettling
I debated with my self about taking off the old original 21 year old dealer stickers, then i realized it never came from any dealer with a purple windscreen. ejit!
Put on the top fairing and the side panel with the reserve switch, much faffing about with bolts and rubber grommets, tucked the loom into the fairing out side the forkleg, not sure that’s right. Unstuck the rear brake caliper, put the seat on it and made some brum brum noises, i like it alot, haven’t actually sat on it since i fixed the ride height.
spent some time fiddling with a trx90 we’re turning into the shop tractor, pics next time
Ubuntu Phone
the tl:dr is crap gui, nice filesystem, good hardware, android bits everywhere, much hope(prayers) for future gui/os forks.
3ma got stripped for race bike bits, forgot how gorgeous it is under the plastic.
2xt rear rim finally installed, ted seems to be serious about going track-daying, next will have to start the yzf, but next week i’ll be off drugs again, that means another three weeks until i get the mental game into fix bikes gear.
Nearly there!
looking lovely in the sunshine.
Got it spinning over, but the closer i look at the loom the worse it gets, it seems a dodgy starter relay to me, but to the PO it looked like a dead battery, so he applied enough voltage and current to melt a few (not shown) spade connectors and wires
Welded up the clock cage, then took it off along with the upper fairing stay and the bars ends for painting. Really glad those bar ends are there, i hate the high frequency vibes from un-weighted bars and i haven’t seen this type of thread in one before, hard to find?
Welding was super awesome easy with my new auto darkening helmet, might never weld with mig again 🙂
Took a picture this time to prove where these bits are, no losing them like the top yoke!
YZF on it’s wheels
No scratchs! also is that sunshine? weird..
bleeding brake lazy style.
there is a soundtrack for this pic:
wheels of fire

needs a better pics but you get the idea 😀
