Previously I had chopped the center stand to allow me to start the bike with out having to haul it up onto the stand, and now that I’m using the kick start more I notice that it’s awkward, I’d like it closer to me while I stand there twisting the throttle and kicking, can’t do that so I chopped and welded it further around the shaft bringing it a bit higher and closer, not a bad job I’d say. we’ll see if it make a massive difference in the morning. Also I painted it black you may notice.

The auto choke, I noticed how much more crisp the throttle seems off the bottom end now, I can only summarize that it came on every time the bike was at idle, you see the battery I have is quite shagged and I’m to tight to buy a new one, so the voltage at idle is not high enough to turn the auto choke off, Haven’t used a tank of petrol yet hope I can get 160k out of a tank now.

Could you not of just rotated the kickstart on the shaft splines a bit?or does it just go on in the one place?get a transmission cooler cover off a piaggio typhoon 125 and it screws in place at the front of the metal casing thus stopping water being sucked into the variator through the cooling opening.

Can’t rotate it on the splines at all, daft design. Can’t be arsed buying stuff, unless it’s important like tyres, think i’ll make up something to cover the holes up. maybe a slab of aluminium?
