STOP! the guards say..
Lights and indicators, cheapo four function trailer lamps will do the job for a few miles until vibration kills em’. Still have to make a new loom for it, all of it. đ
looks all nice andĂÂ legitĂÂ now……..
welding rubbish together
This is what the pizza box holder looked like prepaint but post final welding. have got any pics of it painted. it was fun making it but it’s no work of art.
SoĂÂ todayĂÂ i fixed up the bajaj’s foot gear change, needed another lever to make it a heel toe setup and spare metal to lengthen the cable arms, so the rg125f’s homemade rear set got the chop.
Ain’t it lovely? the ratio i used was 21/8 or as close-as-damn-it 2.5/1, handy to know for anyoneĂÂ attemptingĂÂ a vespa foot gearchange.
off to the london excel show this weekend, hope i score a nice helmet. Gonna bring a nice book so i can avoid drinking.
playing with cbr’s
The other day we started up the “left in the rain for 10 years” cbr6,ĂÂ exhaustĂÂ was full of muck.
Took some cleaning up, even got my helmet.
So yesterday, decided to re-stealth my own cbr6, why? i’m backĂÂ deliveringĂÂ pizza, need monies. Anyway stainless F3 can wont fit so i chopped up the mount tab and made it fit.
Next up was a better box, took it apart for measurements. dirty huh?
Ex-school tables to the rescue again. you can see what i did to the F3 pipe here too.
Lobster backed and fish mouthed the side support bar. Serious engineering terms i kid you not.
All done now, just waiting for the paint to dry, the least fun part of any project. Will have the road test on friday night, it’ll be perfect or the pizzas will end up all over the road. right after the turn up for ClarkesĂÂ hill. at about 8:35.
A seat.
Don’ t think this is a very exciting update, chopped up the oldĂÂ benchesĂÂ in the shed and welding them to the tuk tuk
Fire? nope just an rs250 being started up.
Braced, still needs a bridge in front to lock the seat down. it’s only held in place by two bolts at the back at the moment.
Penetration shot…
Runs now, but i just parked it up, soggy ikky rain.
I has brakes!!!
Well it turned out that the bajaj shoe adjustment is done by the handbrake cable, no flipping auto adjustment! still spongy but it stops well, also it seems the holes in the floor have another use; light for when your working underneath đ
won’t run now, figging carb.
Next i might have to go back toĂÂ deliveringĂÂ pizza for extra money, so the cbr got a look over. Found a foot hanger that has a raised fulcrum point for better gear changes. It was in the scrap pile, looked brand new.
after some research it turned out it was an f3 hanger, and nope i didn’t have a f3 gearĂÂ changeĂÂ lever. So i tried to make a new pivot brush, that didn’t turn out so clever, the lose brush i found was 0.17mm too big and after half an hour of filing i gave up.
So the lever i needed had to be 10mm spaced out, much easier to make then the blasted pivot.
needed a longer adjustment bar, rg125f to the rescue, 2secs in the vice toĂÂ straightenĂÂ it out.
On it goes, gear change has improved! thank fook, i would like a longer adjustment bar but thats a bugger to make, may just buy an f3 lever some time in the future, maybe if i make some money lol.
back to the shed
all hail not sitting on your arse eating leftover christmas chocolate.
found a 450 supermoto at the garage for repairs, engine is leaking life blood from everywhere, wouldn’t find that on a two-stroke. much.
on the other hand it wouldn’t have taken a proper mechanic to fix it either.
Got stuck into the bajaj, tore off the rear slaves to go see if desmond’s could re hone them, once they saw em, figured it would be easier to get new ones since they had similar ones off a peugeot, cept these were 19mm bore rather then 25mm, think they’ll match the 14mm master cylinder much better and they are dead cheap too. Another bonus there metric and desmonds would swap the imperial nipples for free. job done
‘Cept i ran out of light. curse you sun!
the new year
Well the stephens day classic run went great, i didn’t break down, i got a go off of a dt230 and i avoided the rain. On the other hand the damp road flung lots of crap about the place and i fecked up all the photos i took.

you can look at the shots anyway on my mums picasa album.
mucky jacket:
Even got some in the airbox, got that cleaned up and installed some lighter rollers again since the jetting feels spot on.
Treated the scooter to some duck tape.
Had a quick spin into town today, massiveĂÂ improvementĂÂ inĂÂ acceleration, must get a proper pipe one day. fuelĂÂ consumptionĂÂ is as bad as ever at 7.55L/100km, that was at the classic run, it’ll probably be worse now with the lighter rollers.
Jobs over
Made about 70 baskets and they were all gone in one night. spine is wrecked from bending over them.
This cbr6 is looking like it will never return to the road in a nice condition, so fingers crossed i get my paws on it and turn it into a dual sport for theĂÂ MongolianĂÂ trip..
Today i put the 115 main jet in the runners PWK carb, couldn’t take it for a spin since i didn’t have any rain gear, but loading it on the rear brake and a quick spin on the gravel out to the back and there was no bogging and felt like there was a lot more power to, didn’t sound ‘wet’ or rich so finger crossed for the classic spin this sunday.
hopefully more updates soon, not a lot done recently.
stuffed fluff
Well, been looking at this nsr50 tank, could stuff it under the arse of the cbr6/motard project, bit bulky, more dakar spec then supermotard.
This one i’m not allowed to cut up đ
Works going well, what? you wanted pictures of the girls im working with rather then these lovely baskets? perverts! (i approve lol)
NikisĂÂ unintentionalĂÂ rat bros, i think it rocks.
something got finished (fuck titles)
Rightly tired now, not sure why i took a pic of a blaster 200 a couple of days a go. it certainly won’t fit in a rxs.
Mostly finished the busa today.
Both side are on to stay, dead battery now tsk.
In a burst of energy, iĂÂ spottedĂÂ the xtdr needed a head light. so i put it on, taa daa!
Got a job btw, yep working in the body shop in town, expect second hand makeupĂÂ appliedĂÂ to bikes soon.
