SO i saw an ad for 3 triumph dolomites, \u00e2\u201a\u00ac1800, in Dublin, called ted and let him know since i knew he might need some spares.<\/p>\n

after a while i got to thinking that maybe getting myself some 70’s pile of BL crap might be a good idea, instead of converting<\/p>\n

my fwd starlet to rwd it may be possible to insure a 30 year old car these days since insurance has gotten a bit better. 30 year<\/p>\n

old cars are tax free so i could have a 2 liter, it would be no problem. Probably.<\/p>\n

Shove out the shite engines they came with and stuff it with a more likely 1.8cvh from a sierra, i’d be happy enough with<\/p>\n

that, if it can’t be saved from the rust bunnys i could use the running gear in another shell, like my starlet \ud83d\ude42 again avoiding<\/p>\n

the tax problems and keeping it rwd \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n

When i went to look em up in the buyandsell i saw cheap spirfires, heralds, and dolomites. they were cheap enough too<\/p>\n

so the future may be BL and breakdowns for me…<\/p>\n

Ted has also gone a litte further on with his rd\/tz 375 project, footpegs are a problem, can’t put them high enough<\/p>\n

because of his false leg. I offered to make a new leg but i was turned down. Probably would have turned out like the<\/p>\n
